Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library sends children a free book every month from birth until they turn five—completely free. Having books at home not only helps children prepare for school, but also sets them up for long-term success.

How does the Dolly Parton Imagination Library work?
Each month, Imagination Library sends a free, high-quality, age-appropriate book to every registered child in Oklahoma. They manage book selections, ordering, administration and mailing logistics.
Local Program Partners enroll children, promote the program and raise funds to cover book and shipping fees. To support these efforts, the Oklahoma Partnership for School Readiness (OPSR) and the State of Oklahoma contribute 50% of the monthly book and mailing expenses—ensuring it is completely free for all families.
