OPSR was created to help Oklahoma families access the early care and education, family support, and health and mental health services they need to support their children during their most critical period of development from birth through age five.
OPSR facilitates collaborative planning and decision making to increase coordination between programs, to maximize the use of public and private funding, and to pursue policies that improve learning opportunities and environments for Oklahoma’s children.

Builds upon the state's progress from its initial PDG B-5 funding and addresses the most pressing needs of the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) workforce, children, families, and communities as defined by the state's Needs Assessment.
A primary goal of this project is to support all children birth to five, and their families, equitable and seamless access to support they need to thrive.
Part of our responsibility as an organization is to present an annual report to the Governor of Oklahoma and the state legislature, so that early childhood stakeholders can better understand both the opportunities and barriers to school success that children and their families may face from birth to the time they enter school.
